MitzvahArt
MitzvahArt was born out of a desire to commemorate the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs of the founders' children.
All parents know that watching their children grow into young adults and witnessing their Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an experience to cherish forever. We could not find anything, anywhere that reflected the importance of this accomplishment and would serve as a reminder of the spiritual significance of their commitment. So, we started MitzvahArt to create high-quality pieces of art worthy of these special milestones.
MitzvahArt is a family business, run by Rob and Cathy Cohen, and Barbara Aronica-Buck and Peter Buck. Barb and Rob are a brother/sister team who grew up as conservative Jews in Stamford, CT. Both are now in mixed (happy!) marriages. Their children have been raised Jewish, primarily due to the sense of community and tzedaka that the Jewish religion imparts.
Rob Cohen is a business development and technology professional with over twenty years of experience in software businesses and Internet technology. He brings his visionary marketing, planning and management expertise to our business.
Barbara Aronica-Buck is an artist and graphic designer. With over 25 years of experience in book design, she brings her expertise to the design and production end of these creative pieces.
Peter Buck is the owner of Creative Pension Design and Administration in Stamford, CT. He also has many years of experience in the construction industry. Hence, he is in charge of custom framing and packaging all of our MitzvahArt pieces.
Cathy Cohen is an event planner whose expertise brings practicality and insight into the intricacies of Bar/Bat Mitzvah events and processes.
Together we bring a great mix of skills and experience that we feel works well and to the benefit of our customers.
